All you need is love - and some exclusive Beatles merchandise.
Bloomingdale’s nationwide is partnering with Apple Records to feature a new in-store Beatles shop in the men’s department.
On the shelves starting this week at the South Coast Plaza Bloomie’s are T-shirts, cashmere scarves, ties, cuff links and suits, which are all inspired by Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles-themed “Love” show.
Designers include Marc Jacobs, John Varvatos, Theory, Katharine E. Hamnett, Trunk, Hickey and Psycho Bunny. Prices run from $62-$88 for T-shirts to $1,295 for a Hickey suit.
Plus, a 120G iPod with a Beatles logo that is not sold in Apple stores is available as part of a collectors set. Only 2,500 were made, and the South Coast Plaza store has 50.
The set, which costs $795, also has 13 Beatles CDs, two past masters, the “Love” CD and an engraved silver guitar pick.
A kickoff party Thursday for the South Coast Plaza shop will feature DJs and “Yellow Submarine” cocktails, served courtesy of Krol Vodka. The party is from 5 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
The Beatles display is temporary and will last through the holiday season. It is next to the Ed Hardy T-shirts in the men’s department.
